The
Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of 12 Directors elected by community
Members of the Foundation. The Board meets monthly and convenes an Annual General
Meeting of the Members. The Officers of the Foundation Board are elected by the Directors
from among the Board members. Foundation Board members serve for 3 years and
may be re-elected at the end of their specified term. Terms are staggered to
ensure essential continuity on the Board.
The Foundation Board
has several committees made up of Directors and volunteers from among the
general Members of the Foundation: Finance Committee, Fundraising Committee,
Nominations Committee, Membership Committee, Bylaws Committee.

During
the 2003 & 2004 year, the resignations of Mr. Campbell and Mr. Sharp for
personal reasons were reluctantly accepted by the Board. As a result, Annette
Beausaert was elected president to replace Mr. Sharp.

General
Members of the Foundation are interested participants from the community and
are vital to the success of the Foundation. In addition to electing the Board
of Directors and approving the business of the Foundation at the Annual General
Meeting, Members may serve on various committees. The Foundation welcomes expressions
of interest from potential new members. For more information on membership,

The Foundation also relies
on the generosity of members of the community, including numerous community
organizations and businesses as well as interested individuals who undertake
various initiatives to support the fundraising activities of the Foundation.
Chief among these is the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary which routinely
conducts a wide range of activities in support of the Foundation and the Hospital.
